The BlueSerial^™ BluetoothRemote device communicates through the Bluetooth® module integrated in mobile phones. Just like other Bluetooth® devices (e.g. headsets or speakers) BluetoothRemote devices need to be paired with the phone before use. After launching the application the mobile phone automatically contacts the BluetoothRemote device paired previously within its effective range.

BluetoothRemote devices connect automatically and in addition they uniquely support automatic reconnection.

BluetoothRemote is a Bluetooth® 2.0 connection device operated remotely by Android or Windows 8 phones. With its 2-relay outputs Bluemote is able to provide widely used functions as well, such as gate- and garage door opening, parking barriers, alarm activation, lights, awnings or other electric appliances. Each relay can be controlled separately, so it is possible to use one to control the garage door and the other one to control the gate or light.

BluetoothRemote has an external antenna. The advantage is that the effective range can be expanded to 20-30 meters, and the range may be increased or may be limited in space with a greater or controllable antenna (not included).

Each BluetoothRemote may be provided with an 4 to 8-digit (PIN) security code. As an additional safety feature BluetoothRemote devices are not discoverable, i.e. they operate in private mode, so only the previously paired phones are allowed to connect them.

For pairing a new phone you can activate visibility and make the device discoverable for 30 seconds, but then the BluetoothRemote device switches back again to private mode and becomes hidden for strangers.
